What is suede?
Suede is created by using the inside of the hide - the leather is split to remove the grain and this leaves a soft, velvety inner surface.
Nubuck and suede, require a little more care - they are slightly more susceptible to scuffs and scratches.

Will suede stretch?
Suede is a softer material than smooth leather and tends to soften more quickly. Over time, it may stretch slightly, but only in areas where heat and pressure from your feet have been applied. This makes suede shoes generally easier to wear in compared to those made from smooth leather.
