What is the 'On-Loan' service?
Online shopping just got a whole lot easier with our 'On-Loan' service.
This service is offered worldwide and allows you to try additional sizes and styles, along with or following your purchase, at no extra cost to you.
Take the shoes for a test drive in the comfort of your own home. We ask that you wear your shoes around the house (on the carpet) before venturing out, as we can only accept returns for shoes in as-new condition. Return postage is on us.
How do I make an 'On-Loan' (exchange) request?
At Checkout
Add your chosen style to your cart. Before checking out, you’ll see a box labelled ‘Additional Information’ - here you can note the name, colour, and size of up to two extra pairs you’d like to try On Loan (sent at no extra cost).
Please note:
On Loan requests can only be sent with full-price orders (unique promotional discounts are fine).
If your order includes a sale item, the On Loan request won’t be fulfilled.
Make sure to check stock availability before making your request - if a style is sold out online, we won’t be able to include it.
I’ve Received My Order and Want to Exchange
If you’ve received your order and want to request On Loan pairs or exchange a style, head to our Returns & Exchanges Portal and follow the prompts.
If you’d like some help deciding on the best size or style before confirming your exchange, contact our Customer Service team.
For On Loan requests made after receiving your original order, this service is available for sale items too, just keep in mind that there may be a price difference to be paid.
I've requested some 'On-Loan' pairs. What happens next?
The additional pair(s) will be sent out to you as soon as possible. You'll receive tracking notifications once the ‘On Loan’ pairs have been dispatched. Hold onto any other Bared shoes you have for now, until you finalise what you would like to keep.
Once your ‘On Loan’ shoes arrive, we encourage you to try them on and walk around to see how they fit. Please wear your shoes around the house first, as we can only accept returns for shoes that are in ‘as-new’ condition.
Compare the ‘On Loan’ sizes/styles with the shoes from your original order and try all the fitting options provided, to help you find the perfect pair. If you have any fitting or styling questions, reach out to us.

Can you send 'On Loan' shoes to try during your sale?
We’re happy to send additional styles for you to try after you’ve received your sale order. However, we’re unable to include on-loan pairs with your sale order.

I have a discount code - can I have it applied to my 'On Loan' shoes?
Yes! If you have a valid discount code, we can apply it to your exchange or if you decide to purchase your On Loan pair as an additional sale.
Please note, discount codes can’t be used on charity collaboration styles, gift cards, or combined with other offers or discounts. They also have an expiry date, which you can find in the email the code was sent in.
