Pressure across the top of the foot (also called the instep) can usually be relieved with one simple change:
Swap the standard footbed for the thin version included in your Fit Kit.
This change lowers your foot’s profile inside the shoe, creating more vertical space. Here’s what to do:
- Remove the current footbed.
- Insert the thin footbed from your Fit Kit.
- Try walking around to test the new fit.
- If you have a style with buckle straps or laces of this part of your foot, wear them loose until the leather has softened and you have worn the shoes for a while.
This usually provides immediate relief, especially for high insteps. If you need further help, we can also look at styles that are naturally more accommodating across the top of the foot.
