We’re sorry to hear about the blisters — that sounds painful. We’re here to help make your loafers more comfortable so you can enjoy wearing them.
Since loafers don’t have a lace or strap, it's good to note that a little movement is normal, however, we don’t want too much slipping that causes discomfort, blisters or causes you to claw your toes to keep the shoe on.
Before sizing down, try these options:
First, it helps to understand how much you've worn the shoes:
- If worn briefly and you haven’t tried any wear-in tips, we have several suggestions to help improve the fit.
- If you’ve already tried some options, let us know which ones so we can offer new ideas.
Here are our go-to solutions:
- Wear the shoes at home with thick socks to help soften the leather.
- Gently massage any stiff areas of the shoe with your fingers. A touch of leather conditioner can help, too.
- Magic Gel Spots are ideal for reducing rubbing and friction — they can be placed inside the heel where the blister occurred.
- Gel heel lifts can change the point of contact between your heel and the shoe’s edge to avoid further irritation.
- If your shoes came with a Fit Kit, try switching to the thin footbeds to reduce pressure.
If you didn’t receive any accessories with your order, we can send them out to you.
Once you’ve tried these suggestions, let us know how the shoes feel. We’re always happy to continue working with you to get the best fit.
