It’s completely normal to have a bit of space at the heel in a slingback style — especially if it’s about a thumb’s width. Since slingbacks don’t have a strap around the ankle, your foot will naturally slide forward slightly as you walk.
We want your heel to sit comfortably in the heel cup — not right at the edge. Having some extra space is okay, and even preferred during warmer months when feet tend to swell slightly.
If your foot feels too narrow or there's too much movement in the forefoot area, Magic Gel Inserts can help fill the space and anchor your foot more securely. We’re happy to send them to you at no cost.
Just remember not to peel off the backing until you're sure you're keeping the shoes.
