We completely understand how frustrating this can be, especially when you love the look of your new sandals.
Rubbing and blisters can be common at the start of sandal season. After winter, our feet tend to be more sensitive due to being wrapped up in socks and boots. It’s also worth noting that our heel counters sit a little higher than many brands, which may cause more contact at the heel.
Here are some tips to help:
- Apply Magic Gel Spots to any areas of rubbing. They create a barrier between your skin and the leather to reduce friction.
- Wear the shoes at home with thick socks to help soften the leather more quickly.
- Gently massage the leather heel counter with your fingers, or apply a small amount of leather conditioner to help soften it.
Once the leather softens and your feet adjust, you may not need the gel spots anymore. Just be sure to let any sore spots or blisters heal before wearing the sandals again.
